25 Years Later: We Remember 9/11

September 11, 2001 — a day America will never forget.

Twenty-five years have passed since our nation was forever changed. On that morning, thousands of innocent people lost their lives, families lost loved ones, first responders ran toward danger, and an entire nation came together in a way that had not been seen in generations.

As we approach the 25th anniversary of 9/11, we pause to remember the nearly 3,000 people who never made it home. We remember the firefighters, police officers, emergency medical workers, military personnel, and ordinary citizens who demonstrated extraordinary courage.

The 9/11 Memorial is more than a place. It is a reminder.

It reminds us of the lives that were taken, the families who were changed forever, and the heroes who sacrificed everything to help others. The names engraved at the memorial represent mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, friends, and coworkers.

But September 11 also changed the lives of those who served in the years that followed.

Thousands of veterans and service members answered the call to defend our nation. Many returned home carrying wounds that could not always be seen. Physical injuries, emotional struggles, financial hardships, and the memories of what they experienced can remain long after the uniform is put away.

At Stress Free Vets, we believe remembering 9/11 also means remembering the men and women who answered the call afterward.

Twenty-five years later, we must never forget the sacrifices made by our first responders, our military, our veterans, and the families who supported them.

Let us visit the memorial. Let us say the names. Let us tell our children what happened. Let us teach future generations that freedom comes with a price—and that courage can be found in ordinary people who choose to stand up when others need them most.
